TROUBLESHOOTING
A company built a new parking garage in Horsens, and in a short time they began to experience problems with some young people who chose to sit in the entrance of the parking garage and consume alcohol. The young people, and their behavior, made the company's customers extremely insecure , so they contacted SITE-SECURITY hoping to find a security solution that would be able to guarantee video surveillance in the parking garage entrance , but not in the rest of the parking garage.
THE SOLUTION
SITE-SECURITY mounted 8 pcs. SITE-SECURITY GO in the entrances where the problems was. To avoid vandalism or possibly destruction of the units, steel pipes was mounted around the cables to provide one extra layer of security . Today, the company has full surveillance in the entrance of the parking garage and has not experienced problems with the young people since - we have solved the problem by identifying the young people and through our GO units telling them to leave the area, or the police will be involved.
The company later reported back that customers who use the parking garage have regained the feeling of security.
CHALLENGES
The biggest challenges for SITE-SECURITY were the ability to make direct contact with the young people, secure the units against vandalism , and to give the company's customers their sense of security back.
SITE-SECURITY solved the challenges by installing GO units that have 2-way speakers so that the guards could communicate directly with the young people when they were at the location. The units were secured against vandalism using steel pipes around the cables so that they were no longer easily accessible. But the biggest challenge was to re-establish the sense of security that had been lost. By putting stickers on the doors to the stairwell, and ensuring quality video surveillance, SITE-SECURITY was able to bring security back, both to the company and its customers.
