What is timelapse?
Everyone knows slow motion, so when a movie or sequence is played back slower than it was recorded, this makes time appear slower. With timelapse, the opposite is true, here it is replayed faster than a sequence has been recorded.
For timelapse, for example, the camera takes 1 picture or 1 video every half hour for a long time. This means that when timelapse is replayed, much more happens in a shorter time, because we just do not see everything that goes on between the images.
